What we build
Swing and slide driveway gates, walk-in gates, and perimeter fencing to enclose a yard, a commercial lot or a side access point. Every gate is built for the actual opening — width, slope, and what it needs to swing or slide clear of — measured in person before fabrication starts.
Perimeter fencing gets built in sections and installed post to post, matched in style to any gate that sits in the line so the whole thing reads as one system rather than a fence with a gate bolted on afterward.
Swing vs. slide
A swing gate is simpler to install and usually cheaper, but needs clear space to swing into on both sides. A slide gate is the better call on a sloped driveway or where the swing radius would land on a sidewalk, a parked car, or a property line — it runs along a track instead, at the cost of more hardware and more that can eventually need servicing. We’ll look at the actual driveway and tell you which one fits before you pick.
Automatic openers
A gate built to carry an opener needs reinforced posts and hinge hardware rated for the extra stress of daily motor use — retrofitting an opener onto a gate that wasn’t built for one is where a lot of driveway gate problems start. If you want automation, say so at the estimate stage so the gate is built for it from the start.
Security and privacy fencing
Perimeter fencing for a commercial yard or a security-conscious property is usually a plain vertical picket or paneled steel design, built tall enough and close enough in spacing to do the job without needing decoration to justify itself. Residential fencing has more room for a decorative pattern, matched to the house or the existing gate.

Do you build automatic/motorized gates?
We fabricate and install the gate itself, and we can build it to accept an opener — reinforced posts, the right hinge hardware, clearances the operator needs. Whether we install the motor or coordinate with an opener installer depends on the job; ask when you call and we’ll tell you how that specific gate is best handled.
What determines whether a gate needs a permit?
It varies by city and by what the gate does — height, whether it swings into a public right-of-way, and whether it’s attached to a fence that itself needed a permit all factor in. We’ll flag it if your job looks like one that does, but the city’s planning or building department has the final say. It’s worth a five-minute call to them before a driveway gate goes in, not after.
Steel or aluminum for a driveway gate?
Steel is stronger for the same material thickness and is the usual choice for a heavier security-focused gate. Aluminum won’t rust, which matters more on a gate that sits outdoors year-round and doesn’t get repainted often. Weight also matters for anything going on an automatic opener — heavier steel gates need a stouter operator. We’ll ask how the gate will actually be used before recommending one.
Can you match my existing fence?
Usually — send a photo of a fence section and the style of gate you want at the entrance, and we’ll build a gate that reads as part of the same fence line rather than an obvious add-on. If the existing fence is a manufactured product no longer sold, we’ll get as close as custom fabrication allows and say so up front.
